Yates Flooring in Lubbock, Texas, is our latest showroom transformation. The team had seen our work for Thornton Flooring in Sioux Falls and wanted to explore how a similar approach could work for their business. A trusted Lubbock retailer since 1976, Yates was already building a new facility. They had a general idea of the showroom’s size and location, but the opportunity was much bigger than simply filling the space with displays.
We started by exploring floor plans, evaluating alternatives, and discussing the advantages and trade-offs of each. At the same time, we recommended refreshing and extending their brand—an essential step in creating a cohesive, customer-focused showroom.
This is where our 40 years of brand-building experience makes a difference.

Our goal is to create seamless customer experiences that are integrated into the space they occupy, not just applied to it. To do that, we work on the showroom and brand simultaneously because neither should exist independently of the other.
The brand: A comprehensive brand system that goes well beyond a logo and tagline. We develop the colors, typography, graphic patterns, messaging, animations, and applications that bring the retailer’s identity to life throughout the showroom.
The showroom: Layout and space planning, fixturing, lighting, displays, casework, digital experiences, and environmental graphics—all designed to support how customers shop and how retailers sell. Rather than allowing dozens of manufacturer brands to compete for attention, we create a strong overarching retail brand that organizes the experience. We bring consistency to the displays, eliminate visual clutter, and design custom merchandising solutions around a curated product offering.
We also recognize an important reality: most sales come from a relatively focused selection of products. By dedicating more space and attention to these core SKUs, we make it easier for customers to compare options, understand the differences, and decide with confidence. The result is less confusion, less analysis paralysis, and a more efficient sales process.
The result? The retailer becomes the customer’s trusted guide, with every manufacturer and product category working together under one cohesive brand umbrella.
